John is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Master of Science in Library and Information Science. He joined Miami as an electronic information services librarian in 1995 followed by assignments as Geographic Information Systems Librarian and digital initiatives librarian. His research interests and activities focus on developing digital library systems to serve distinct user communities. He is a former NASA and USGS funded investigator working for the OhioView project, a congressionally sponsored project to further the use of U.S. civilian satellite data by the public. Jody PerkinsDigital Scholarship Librarian / Metadata Specialist
Email Jody Perkins
Jody is a graduate of Kent State University School of Library and Information Science. Prior to joining Miami she was Librarian at the Akron Art Museum where she co-authored and coordinated an Ameritech funded grant project. She has served as co-chair of the OhioLink Database Management Steering Committee/Digital Media Center Metadata Task Force and has recently joined the Steering/Curatorial Board of the BambooDiRT Project - a registry of digital research tools for scholarly use. Her research interests include the use of LOD (linked open data) to collocate digital resources across institutions and domains (libraries, archives and museums) on the web.

Eric hails from the University of Illinois where he completed a Master of Library and Information Science, following Bachelor degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Agricultural Industries from the U. of Illinois. He is the Numeric and Spatial Data librarian for Miami University and also provides resources for data visualization, data management planning and geographic information systems/science.
Elias TzocDigital Scholarship Librarian

Elias joined Miami University Libraries after completing his MSIS degree at the University of Texas at Austin in May 2007. His current/recent work includes: serving as co-PI for two grant-funded projects: 2015 IMLS Sparks and 2014 NEH Digital Humanities Start-Up; co-developing a profile module for DSpace; working with faculty and students in developing web-based projects; evaluating captioning best practices for educational videos; documenting and writing on library technical issues and open source software; and implementing several web-customization projects for systems like DSpace, CONTENTdm, Omeka, WordPress -using PHP, CSS, XML, XSLT, HTML5, jQuery.
