Last week the last major component of the Center was installed, the storefront enclosing the conference room. All that remains are a few minor items on the “punch list” consisting of the remaining todo items to be completed before the contractor can consider the job done.
In case you’ve ever wondered, the name punch list most likely comes from the early practice of punching a hole through two copies of the list to indicate to both the architect and the contractor that the work was completed for that task.
Final inspections are scheduled for the end of this week. If everything passes as expected, we may begin moving in next week.
